Greg attended the Christian Brothers at Mullen Prep School in southwest Denver graduating in 1972. After a brief stint at Western State College, he transferred to Colorado State University, graduating in 1977 with a degree in geology.
After graduating, he began a successful 9-year career in the oil industry with Dowell Schlumberger. His work included sales and engineering of oil field services for oil and gas wells in many areas of the United States.
A slowdown in the oil business opened the door to a fresh start back in Denver as a municipal bond underwriter with the prestigious investment banking firm of Boettcher & Company. In the fall of 1987, disruptions to Boettcher caused yet another door to open, this time to E F Hutton as a Financial Advisor. For the next 21 plus years, Greg worked to build a successful financial advisory practice with just this one firm, although the name changed some six times!
In the summer of 2009 another door opened – this time to an independent financial consulting firm, Capital Consulting in the Denver Tech Center. In 2011, Capital Consulting changed its name to Prosperion Financial Advisors. This new name better reflects our continuing desire to prosper our clients with “care beyond advice”.
Today Greg, Craig Arfsten, and Jenelle Jeffery, Operations and Administration, enjoy their affiliation with Prosperion Financial Advisors as they bring many years of business and investment experience to their clients!
Greg volunteers as a bible study leader at the Arapahoe County Detention Center (ACDC). He works with five other men conducting the weekly bible study in two of the “pods” at ACDC. There are normally 20 to 30 inmates who attend each week.
